Ukraine Project

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ!

I am sure everyone is deeply troubled by the human suffering in Ukraine. Watching the developing news, I wondered what God might want us to do when I came across a report on a Japanese missionary couple in Odesa, Ukraine on NHK (Japanese).

Masato & Miki Funakoshi with Missions 3:!6 have lived in Ukraine for many years and are currently ministering to the physical and spiritual needs of the people of Ukraine. I was deeply moved and agreed with the Eikou church leadership that God was leading us to help the Ukrainian people through the Funakoshis.

They are running five “Hope Projects”, one of which is “Hope Winter”. During the cold winter months, when power outages are frequent, they invite church members and local residents to the church where they have a generator to share a meal, pray, and encourage each other.

Although the Ukraine Project is sponsored by Eikou Christian Church, our desire is to cooperate and collaborate with the larger body of Christ in the Puget Sound region to help share the light and hope of Jesus Christ with those in Ukraine!

We hope you will join the Ukraine Project!

In His name,
Yoshie Brumley
